For many years, Robert has provided legal advice and advocacy to local governments throughout British Columbia. Robert has acted for municipalities, regional districts and public authorities on a wide range of legal matters, including statutory interpretation, bylaw drafting, governance advice, contracts, and real property matters. Robert also has considerable experience with employment, labour, environmental, land-use, construction, and human rights law.

Robert brings experience as a local government litigator to all of his work, having represented municipalities, regional districts, and health authorities before all levels of Court in British Columbia, as well as many administrative tribunals.  His litigation experience includes expropriation, statutory injunctions, judicial review of administrative action, prosecutions, and a range of civil disputes.
